American Girls Club

This club is for girls 6-10 that can read a reader book without assistance. It meets the 3rd Monday of the month @ 6:30 pm, and each month a different section of one of the books is discussed. There is also a craft that corresponds to the section read. Past crafts have included handmade books and spool dolls.

Magic School Bus Club

This is a science book club, featuring a book on some aspect of natural science each month. Past topics have been how things float and sink, and how plants grow from seeds. A craft or activity is also included. This club is popular with both boys and girls.

Barnes & Noble Booksellers – 7325 N. La Cholla

This Foothills Mall location currently offers only one club – the American Girls Club. The club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month in the children’s book section. There are prizes, trivia, and games, and of course American Girls stories. For more information call 742-6402.
