Caught by Grandma

I asked my mom if she would be interested in this. Her response was a wave of tears and a look of elation. She was thrilled. And she started telling complete strangers about it.

During my labor, my mom was with me for every contraction. I was not medicated and I totally depended on her support and advice. When Morgan started crowning, the midwife asked my mom come to the foot of the bed and gave her some simple instructions. She donned a gown and assumed the position. Morgan's head entered the world cradled by her grandma. And as soon as the little dimpled body was free of my body, my mom scooped her up and hugged her tight. She kissed the baby's head and quickly put Morgan on my tummy so my husband and I could admire our little miracle.

A special bond

Morgan is a happy baby and laughs and grins at both her parents. But she has a special trick she will do only for grandma. My mom taught her to stick her tongue in and out repeatedly very fast. Once in a while she'll bestow her parents with the honor of the trick, but as soon as she sees grandma she just can't help herself.
