Tucson Children’s Museum
Excited About the Future

The Tucson Children’s Museum is located in the Armory Park Neighborhood, and is scheduled for a $300,000 facelift as part of the Rio Nuevo project. The current building was converted from the Carnegie Free Library, built in 1939, and the renovations are set to include restoring the original façade, gaslight street lamps, and other "historically accurate" features. Saxberg says that the museum is committed to being an integral part of Rio Nuevo, and she looks forward to the renovations. She is also excited about upcoming exhibits at the museum, including a robotic dinosaur exhibit created by Rob Meyer Productions, scheduled to be available later this fall.
