What’s Hot in Grills is Really Hot!!!

If you already have a grill, accessories are readily available and include griddles, woks, and steamers. Some grill lines even feature smoker trays, which are watertight. A special smoker burner generates smoke or steam for special recipes. Also popular are the Grill Grates, which replace your lower grate and briquettes or lava rocks. They eliminate cold spots and reduce flare-ups by about 30%. They also are self-cleaning, just turn them over. Grill Grates run about $15 for the average grill and have received rave reviews from everyone who has tried them.

For low fat cooking, don’t forget to add a rotisserie for poultry or a grill topper, which allows for cooking smaller foods such as shrimp and vegetables. Fish and grill baskets are also great for healthy eating. If you cook a lot at night and have ever had a hard time cooking by porch light, pick up the handy Bar-B-Que Light. It is adjustable and will fit most grills. It runs about $70.

As you probably have guessed, most of these products are not available at Home Depot. (Kate, here is where you need to edit for your local area. I don’t know what suppliers you have, but highly recommend the Internet supplier, but feel free to add anybody that is local!!!) The best site I found for service and information was The Barbecue People (www.bbqpeople.com) (800-371-4866), who feature a full line of barbecue products and accessories, and they ship nationwide. They can answer any questions you may have on this or any other grill topic, and they are friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are very competitive and their website is comprehensive and informative. A special thanks to them for the great pictures!
