At the end of the day, Anna and her family take their purple tickets to the orchard cashier who pays them for their work.

During their lunch break, Anna even gets to dance with Mama and Papa with their friends and neighbors clapping and encouraging. The illustrations enhance the story by providing warm, fall glows to the pages of the story.
